The LinkSprinter will automatically update when new software is available as long as it has good batteries and a good internet connection. It is not necessary to manually update the firmware. The current firmware version is displayed in the Link-Live.com portal, under the Units menu or within the About menu in the Mobile UI.

NetAlly Branded Units Firmware:  3.00.05.0727
All other Units Current Firmware:  2.03.02.0610

Update Sequence

1. First all five lights flash yellow/orange.

2. Next, starting with the PoE lightening bolt at the bottom of the unit, each status light begins to flash yellow/orange in sequence up to the cloud until all are flashing again for several seconds.

3. Then, the unit reboots; starting with the cloud status light, each light flashes green sequentially down to the PoE status light.

4. Finally, the LinkSprinter reconnects, beginning with the PoE status light. Each light blinks green while connecting.

Troubleshooting
If your firmware is not automatically updating, there could potentially be firewall/proxy settings preventing it from updating if you are not on the latest build.

1. Is the LinkSprinter able to get all the way to the cloud? All green lights?

2. Try a fresh set of batteries, this is a common culprit.

3. Try resetting the factory defaults and try again. How to Restore Factory Defaults

4. Try the unit at an off-site location (for example, home) and see if the unit updates.
